Now in comparison to where I used to work, Target rocks, but with all of the bad luck and shit we had today, it sucked royally.

To begin the day, we actually go back to yesterday, when my little brother has a friend over. Well, I tell them (at 11:30pm, when I'm to wake up at 5:00am to make it to work) that I'm heading to bed, and if they could keep quiet. What do they do when I go to sleep? They take out our little hanging basketball court and start shooting some hoops. Obviously I get pissed and threaten to slam his head into the basket, but of course maja takes the side of my little bro and gets pissed at me, sending me to bed. She told Tom (my little bro) to stop, and then she went to bed and turned the fan on.

Since the fan was on, she didn't hear the other shit my bro and his friend were doing. I did... until around 3am.

I woke up at 5am, got ready, went to work, and clocked in at 6am. I was to start my training in electronics, but since I had been working in Electronics WITHOUT sales floor training, I had to complete that first. I learned all this shit which wasn't hard and finished setting shit up before the store opened at 8am. Nothing bad yet.

Well, we had Wii's, and we had a line of people wanting them. That was fuckin fun to go through. A bunch of angry parents buying their little kiddies something they know nothing about. 52 Guests clocked for sale in an hour.

After that, the store was a mess. Electronics is the busiest part of Target, and you know what? I'm cool with that. However, our entire Search Item listings on our PDA's was down. Everything from finding a specific item in a massive backroom to a specific movie or item we're not quite sure we hold. As I'm doing this, I have impatient people asking questions for me as well as I try to see what's up with the system.

I ask over my walkie, "Hey Team, my PDA is having a system error for item search. Is anyone else having any problems?"

You know that sound Walkies make when too many people tried to talk on the same frequency? It made that noise. The system was down, but 10 minutes later, reactivated, but lagging, taking 10 minutes to do a simple search that usually takes 5 seconds.

Not only that, but right when it's time for me to go home, I have THREE people ask ME at the SAME FUCKIN TIME to help them purchase BIG SCREEN TV's. I assisted in Carry out with the one JUST so I could get up front and finally leave.

I also almost missed my deadline for my lunch, which we actually get written up for if we don't go on time. We physically couldn't leave electronics because "call buttons" are pushed, making use have to push them in 30 seconds or our Target Store is marked down in points.

One bad thing after another.

Also HAI

So my dad accidentally got a virus a few days ago, and by "accidental" he was probably on some "suspicious" sites giving him a virus of the sort.

What does he do? He blames EVERYONE besides himself, including ME, even though I haven't touched that computer in two years. I tried to help him fix it, but for the virus he got, it'd take awhile to try and find and delete all of the shit he got, so I recommended reformatting, which pissed him off. I checked when the virus was installed, and it was 11pm on September 6th. HE was the only one on the comp at the time, so HE was the one who did it. When I told him that information, it just pissed him off more.

I went to get an oil filter, and I got the wrong one. When I showed him it, he exploded, smashed the filter, and got in my face about how I was stupid for getting the wrong one. I yelled back, telling him he was a dumbfuck for lookin up bad shit to get his viruses, and that he never tries to explain anything to me about anything (seeing how he's the mechanic, he should have explained what I needed, rather then "get this and come back".

So I left, got the right one, and parked at our school next door to wait for him to leave for work. Apparently he was threatening to tear my laptop in half (which he's fully capable of doing)

All this because I got the wrong part, and it wasn't even his own money or car.

He's always like this. He also likes alcohol. he also takes "asshole" pills, so he isn't as much of an ass.

I love my dad.

Ahhh... So I've been looking for a job for awhile now; mostly because my current one is a piece of shit, and can't hire me full time. So I got a call today from Target (I'm still in college, so it's not that bad of a place) saying that I've been hired! All I needed to do was take a drug test! Well I did, and I'm not worried about failing (seeing how I've never had drugs) and I go in to my current work to turn in my Two Weeks Notice.

Well, I hoped and prayed that the most hated manager that does jack shit around there was in. Well, I got my wish, and he was serving ice cream because someone called off (HA). Well, I talked to some of my co-workers while I waited for him to finish. Some of them were sad, others tried to see if I could get full time there and a better pay, and one person was mad because she wouldn't be able to work with me any more (lol).

So the manager (Rick) said hello and asked why I was here. I smiled intently and said, "Oh nothing... Just looking at my schedule." I turned around and headed for the door to the employees area, but turned back to him and said, "Oh, and I'm turning in my two weeks notice."

His eyes widened and he looked pissed. He has had me on Salad Bar stock and prep for over 4 months because he hated the fact that I didn't want to be a cook at his shitty restaurant. I asked him several times to train another employee to do Salad Bar in case I'm ever sick or needed to bush, dish, host, etc, but he said no and made me work that shitty old and mean people infested bar.

Well, now his decision is biting him in the ass, because he has no one that knows how to do the work, and there's a lot of stuff you need to remember in order to do the job.

***

Also my favorite cookies were on sale :D :D :D

***

Today was the day I asked my dad about getting a new car. My mom had Okay'd the decision, but ultimately it was my dad's. So I went up to him, and told him my situation at Target. I told him it was full time, and that my current car is about to die (literally. It's lost its brakes 3 times on me [while I was driving it], circuits fried and would make my car shut off every few minutes [mostly at intersections], transmission going, just recently failed e-check, etc)

So I asked if I could lease a 2007 Chevy Cobalt Coupe, ultra silver metalic color. He looked at it, saw that it was relatively cheap for a new car, and agreed that once I got my job, I could get it/ he'd co-sign for me. So within the next 20 days (before my temporary 30 day tag expires due to failing e-check), I will be getting a new car!

***

Before I walked out of the store/ restaurant I work, I saw a lottery ticket machine that I would always just ignore and walk away from. Today, I felt lucky, and got a $5 ticket with my change from getting some groceries (those cookies and some milk :D) Well, I ended up winning $30 (so $25), which is awesome for me!

***

My God I've never had such luck before!

After long trying to hold meet-ups for newgrounds, they have failed epically due to not giving out enough information or not giving people enough time to prepare.

Well this time I'm giving PLENTY of time to prepare, because in the Summer of 2008, we will be holding a meet-up in Sandusky Ohio. Why Sandusky Ohio? Because it holds Cedar Point, one of the worlds number one Roller Coaster Amusement Parks.

It holds some of the largest, fastest, and top rated roller coasters in the world, having millions of people travel there just to witness it. Originally, I had thought only Ohioans would want to come to the meet-up, but with such a large wait time and preparation time, many people out of state are planning on attending as well.

Comments are approved only, so comment this blog if you wish or plan on attending the 2008 Newgrounds Ohio Cedar Point Meet-up!
